Tarsia armchair
Design by Matteo Nunziati
A name that carries its own history — tarsia, from the Arabic tarsi, the ancient art of shaping and joining wood into something greater than the sum of its parts.
The solid wood frame traces a continuous profile that outlines legs and armrests in a single, uninterrupted gesture, cradling the defined volumes of seat and backrest cushion.
The comfort is anything but incidental: cushions with differentiated densities and a subtle inclination of the armrests accompany the body’s natural posture — the kind of detail that reveals itself only once you sit down, and that you never forget.
A contemporary homage to the Italian art of cabinetry — a piece that belongs equally to the tradition it honours and to the present it inhabits.
