Originally a metal forging factory, the site has been reinterpreted as a place where industrial heritage evolves into a new “industry of beauty”, reflecting Milan’s ongoing transformation.

The space is conceived as a neutral and essential volume — an “immense white sheet” designed to host ideas, experimentation and design research. A rational open-plan layout is defined by large perimeter windows, allowing natural light to continuously shape the perception of space.

Extreme attention to detail defines the project: from recessed skirting to invisible air-conditioning slots, from seamless wall finishes to concealed lighting systems.

Light becomes an architectural element, integrated through precise linear cuts that enhance geometry while keeping the source hidden.

Transparency plays a central role, with large sliding glass partitions defining the spaces without interrupting visual continuity, maintaining a fluid dialogue between functions.

At the entrance, the sample room is entirely enclosed in glass and deliberately exposed — a manifesto of the design process, where materials, textures and colors become the true tools of the studio.

More than a workspace, the project represents a distilled expression of Matteo Nunziati’s design philosophy, where precision, light and proportion define an environment that is both highly functional and conceptually rigorous.
