Voco Lounge Suite
Within a five-star hotel in Doha, Qatar, Studio Matteo Nunziati has designed an exclusive VIP lounge conceived as a refined, private and highly representative space, deeply connected to the cultural identity of its location.
The project draws inspiration from the mashrabiya, the traditional Arabic architectural screen, reinterpreting it through a contemporary language of metallic panels, filtered light and sophisticated textures.
These contemporary panels create a subtle dialogue between tradition and modernity.
They define the space through rhythm, transparency and shadow, transforming a historic decorative element into an architectural feature with a strong contemporary identity.
The material palette has been carefully selected to convey understated luxury and timeless elegance.
Pietra Grigio Alpi is used for the flooring, introducing a natural grey stone surface with refined texture and visual depth. The furniture combines pieces by Molteni&C with bespoke elements designed by Matteo Nunziati, reflecting the studio’s expertise in bespoke furniture design interiors and italian luxury interior design.
The result is a project of contemporary luxury interior design, created for an international clientele seeking privacy, comfort and exclusivity.
Rather than relying on ostentation, the lounge expresses luxury through proportion, light, material quality and carefully controlled detailing.
