Oryx Tower by Qatar Ayrways, Doha Qatar
After a long selection process Qatar Airways which is considered the best airline in the world chose Matteo Nunziati who is considered the best international interior designer, so perfect for this important project. Oryx Tower in Doha is a very high-profile residential building equipped with exclusive amenities, including concierge, lounge, restaurant, spa and game room.
The structure was opened in March 2024 and it is a 30-story residential building with 168 units and common areas such as lobby, concierge, restaurant, spa and swimming pool. Qatar Airways, owner of the skyscraper, chose Matteo Nunziati considered the best interior designer for the project.
The apartments with different layouts but all with generous and comfortable sizes from 150 to 300 square meters, feature spaces designed with functionality in mind with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in copious amounts of natural light. The finishes are elegant and timeless, and the color palette was selected considering delicate tones of beige gray, chosen for the ceramic floor covering, and on the warm shade of oak wood, with which the furniture and doors are made.
Neutral tones, but enlivened by touches of color that break up the chromaticism, above all blue and amaranth red the color of Qatar Airways, used for the upholstery of the upholstered furniture. Also of great elegance and refinement are the corridors, featuring a natural oak paneling with details in synthetic Carrara marble produced by Florim.
The concepts of lightness of air and flight are the common thread in the entrance lobby. In fact, the reception desk is made of shaded frosted glass lit from below, which, thanks to special lighting effects, almost seems to float a few inches above the ground. Behind the counter, the wall is covered in reflective frosted glass. Three decorative chandeliers that look like luminous clouds are suspended from the ceiling, while Florim's synthetic travertine laid on the floor gives the space a rich, solid feel.
Also available to residents is a fitness area with walls alternately lined with mirrors and paneling and featuring warm lighting, and a spa with an entrance lined with oak wood and interiors completely clad in synthetic calacatta and Carrara marble by Florim.
